Star Wars Visions Trailer Breakdown and Thoughts

We have just gotten our first look at the brand new Disney Plus series, Star Wars Visions, we’re gonna talk about what this series, why I’m excited, and we’ll also talk a little bit about the Mandalorian Season 3 and some star wars news, since it’s been a while since we talked about Star Wars. So for those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, the new Star Wars series, Visions, is a 10 episode series that will be releasing all at once on Disney Plus, September 22nd, and this is a really big deal. So, George Lucas, aka the guy who made the first Star Wars Film in 1977, well to say at the least, was ‘inspired’ by japanese anime, in the sense that he basically translated a japanese anime movie about the Vietnamese War and turned it into a sci-fi film, that’s really where star wars began, and then slowly it became a unique project, as we know Lucas worked on the film for years. So the first thing, I’m saying is that this is a ‘Anime Anthology Series’, and it’s gonna be releasing all episodes at once, like Netflix, not like the Mandalorian or Wandavision. And they also call these short films, so I’m guessing they will be maybe 10-11 minutes long and so I was hoping it might be like a 22 minute episode, but that’s fine.

I mean I don’t know why they wouldn’t go ahead and give fans more content as far as star wars. I’m guessing they don’t know how the fanbase is gonna react to this, so if the fans end up likely this series, they might make a full anime-dedicated television series. There’s also that brand new Marvel Studios’ animated series, What If…. Coincidentally, the trailer for What If… also released today, we’ll probably talk about that later today, and it’s a full-length series. The difference between something like the Bad Batch or Rebels compared to Visions, is that Visions are small self-contained stories. You don’t even need to know what star wars is, to watch these shorts. There’s also titles for each of the episodes, 1. “The Elder”, 2. “The Village Bride”, 3. “Tatooine Rhapsody”, 4. “Lop and Ocho”, 5. “TO-B1”, 6. “The Ninth Jedi”, 7. “The Twins”, 8. “The Duel”, 9. “Akakiri”. Now, let’s talk about the Mandalorian Season 3, and some news on the series. Now, Morrision who plays of course, Boba Fett in the Mandalorian, and his own spin-off series this December, confirmed that the Book of Boba Fett will be “like a Mandolarian Season 2.5”. He also talked about some directors and showrunners running the series yesterday in an interview, since we haven’t really heard any news on live-action projects from Lucasfilm for a while.

Also, yeah it’s official a new report came in saying that the Disney Plus series, Rangers of the New Republic is officially cancelled, we all saw this happening after Carano was fired. Also if you like the animated series like the Bad Batch and Rebels you’re probably gonna like the Boba Fett series even more since we’re probably gonna see Bounty Hunters from across all of Star Wars History, I’m personally really hyped to see what the writers have in store, I’ve theorized that Cad Bane and Boba Fett will meet sometime in the Book of Boba Fett, if Bane doesn’t get killed in the Bad Batch. The biggest report we got was from Fennec Shand who “may not” return for the Mandalorian Season 3, hinting that she could be killed off somewhere in the Book of Boba Fett. Anyways that’s it for this post, we’ll talk more about the What If… series soon, as well as Loki, Black Widow the Bad Batch, oh it’s been one crazy week!
